HUBBY,CHARLES CONFIRMS AMAKA IGWE'S DEATH, AS NOLLYWOOD MOURNS .

Veteran film maker, Amaka Igwe is dead. She passed on few hours ago after losing the battle to Asthma Attack.Amaka who celebrated her birthday recently was survived by three children and husband,Charles Igwe. She has been married for 21 years.
Amaka Igwe made several movies and drama series like Checkmate,Violated,Nneka The Pretty Serpent among others.The producer of Fuji House of Commotion  also holds a national award.
Her sudden death was confirmed not long ago by her husband,Charles.According to him,Amaka died at their hometown Udi in Anambra State where they went for

a project.They were to head to Port Harcourt from Udi when she died..Charles was too shock to speak further when THIS EVENING NEWS spoke with him.Amaka Igwe is also the owner of TOP FM.She was also planning to commence her Television Station which license she secured few years ago.The late producer cum director  is also the brain behind BOBTV, an annual conference of TV producers/multi media content providers and equipment manufacturers which she has been hosting in Abuja for over a decade now.
May her soul rest in perfect peace.

PDP Guber hopeful, Barister Friday Nwosu posted this on his Facebook wall on Friday, April 25,2014.His supporters say its a challenge to other governorship aspirants in Abia state.

MY SOLEMN DECLARATION AND MESSAGE TO ABIA PEOPLE AND BEFORE THE ALMIGHTY  GOD.
I, Barr Friday Nwanozie Nwosu (KSM) having prayed and got approval from Almighty God concerning my aspiration for Abia State of Nigeria, state that I want to be the next Governor of Abia State after His Excellency Dr. T A Orji (Ochendo Global).If God Almighty who sees the heart and intentions of all men sees any deceit in me or any tricks I intend to play against Abia people or any group or individual LET GOD ALMIGHTY STRIKE ME DEAD before even the time of party primary elections.

Again if Almighty God sees any other aspirant with better intentions, policies and programmes for Abia state than me, or any person who will do better than me as Governor of Abia State, let Almighty God select and anoint such other person instead of me.But if my intentions, polices and programmes for Abia State and her people are better than those of other Aspirants, then let Almighty God select, anoint and make me Governor of Abia State to the greater glory of His name and blessing, peace, progress and prosperity of Abia State.

I have stated and repeated the above statement before Bishops, Pastors, various men and women of God and all necessary authorities and persons in Abia State and Nigeria.

GROUPS URGE DR OKEZIE IKPEAZU TO RUN FOR ABIA GUBER RACE

As speculations spread that former university don and Deputy General Manager, Abia State Environmental Protection Agency, ASEPA, Dr Victor Okezie Ikpeazu has been endorsed by the Abia state Governor Dr T A Orji to succceed him in 2015, Abia stakeholders are now calling on him to declare his interest in the 2015 guber race, THIS EVENING NEWS has been reliably informed.

From Umuobiakwa in Obingwa LGA of the state,Doc ,as his associates and admirers fondly call the former Council boss, is a very popular politician in the state.Should he eventually  join the race, some Abia politicians currently parading  themselves as the peoples choice would certainly be threatened by his ambition, especially when he is one of the few aspirants believed to be

very close to the Governor who is also the PDP leader in the state.The grass root politician, however has about fifteen other guber aspirants from the same Abia
South Senatorial zone to contend with.

Dr Ikpeazu is yet to react to the alleged call to run by Abia stakeholders.
